I think we all agree 2021 can be officially called the staycation year. People have never travelled within the UK more than these days and I am very excited to be partnering with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to create a guide to local independent businesses for a perfect staycation. Last week I headed to Bristol to explore the food scene of this beautiful city. Having a base at the very affordable Ramada by Wyndham Bristol West Hotel which is just outside the city (perfect for road trips!) it was easy to get in and out of town and have a relaxing time preparing for the next day full of foodie adventures. Here i’m sharing a lond-weekend itinerary for you to save for your next staycation planning.

Day 1. Morning.

Arriving and breakfast right by the Bristol Temple Meads station - Hart’s Bakery. Artisan pastries and fresh soughdough to keep you going until lunch.

Day 1. Afternoon.

Wonder around St Nicholas Market, Bristol’s largest collection of independent retailers voted Britain’s Best Large Indoor Market in 2016. There are A LOT of independent food stalls to choose from!

Day 1. Evening.

For dinner I recommend to walk to Steak of Art restaurant. Steak House and an Art Gallery in one? Why not! Steaks here are amazing and tyou can enjoy some local art while waiting for your medium rare filet.

Day 2. Morning.

The Crafty Egg serves eggs of all sorts and kinds, delicious! The place gets busy by 10-11am on the weekends, so get here early.

Day 2. Afternoon.

Arnolfini is a must visit contemporary art gallery. Conveniently it has a stylish cafe where you can grab a bite or get take away and weather allowing enjoy it alfresco just outside the gallery watching paddle boarders and boats passing by.

Day 2. Evening.

After a walk in a world famous graffiti neighbourhood stop by Quay Street Diner for 10/10 burger or taco night.

Day 3. Spend all day in Clifton Village.

Start the day in East Village cafe - possibly the most Insta-friendly food in Bristol.

Day 3. Admire Clifton Suspension Bridge, explore little streets of the pretty village full of independent shops and cafes. For lunch I recommend stopping by Sunday General.

Day 3. Evening.

Have a relaxing evening back at the hotel. Ramada by Wyndham Bristol West has a restaurant & bar with breakfast, lunch and dinner served until 8pm.
