10 not-to-be-missed street food vendors in East London

In Partnership with Hawkkerapp - the best app to discover street food in London

For me there are three main street food destinations in East London. Saturday’s Broadway and Netil Markets, Sunday’s Columbia Road Market and everyday Old Spitalfields Market.

Netil market

  1. Bao. This is their original shack before their restaurants became famous

  2. The Bagel Guys. Seriously the best bagels in town

Broadway Market

3. Kolkati. Do not miss their paneer wrap, it’s truly out of this world!

4. Fin & Flanders. For a classic oyster and champagne-to-go weekend start

5. Cheesy Nicks. Specially for grilled cheese lovers

Columbia Road Flower Market

6. Oyster Shack. Hidden just off the market and serving the freshest oysters and the best Bloody Marys

7. Fried prawn and Calmari window. Iconic window with only two perfected through years fried items on the menu

Old Spitalfields Market

8. Dumpling Shack. Who doesn’t like a lunch box full of dumplings?

9. Pleasant Lady Jian Bing Trading Stall. Probably the longest line on the market, but really worth it!

10. Ricebrothers. Authentic Chinese recipes, delivered in perfect colourful packages. Rice up your life!
