With the light now at the end of the tunnel, I can’t help daydreaming about revisiting all of my favourite restaurants and food destinations again. Where will I be heading on the 12th of April? Bloomberg Arcade. One of the City’s best foodie hangouts for those in the know and with a huge al-fresco terrace. Come rain, shine or socially distanced outdoor dining, you can enjoy all eight of the Arcade’s independent restaurants and their welcoming terraces within the beautiful all-weather cathedral-esque architecture of the Arcade.

You can start with a brunch at all-day dining house-roasted coffee and cocktail bar Caravan, grab a famous burger at Bleecker Burger, try Nordic flavours at Ekte, catch up with friends at Indian barbeque tavern Brigadiers, have a quick lunch at Hawaiian sunshine-in-a-bowl restaurant Ahi Poké, share a massive pizza at Homeslice, have dinner at the home of the best Udon noodles in London, Koya and finish a night at the continental wine bar, Vinoteca

Until reopening however we can enjoy an incredible choice of cuisines through ‘Arcade To Go’. Every restaurant offers it’s dishes and full on feasts to take away or through delivery. So far I‘ve treated myself to a feast at Brigadiers, pizza bundle for two from Homeslice and lunch delivery from Ahi poke.

But Bloomberg Arcade is so much more than just a foodie destination. Since its opening in 2017 it has been a cultural hot-spot, hosting a number of installations and events. Among them thought-leading art installations, championing climate change: Ice Watch – by Olafur Eliasson, Imminence– produced by Artichoke and created in collaboration with artist collective Novak, a London-leading Pride Installation created by the Bloomberg community that saw a giant rainbow painted on the floor the length of Bloomberg Arcade, Beuys’ Acorns Installation – a forest of trees by leading artists Ackroyd & Harvey. Hopefully their great events like Wine Car Boot – London’s leading nomadic wine festival, Yoga classes with Live Orchestra, the Bloomberg Arcade Winter Market – a pop-up market offering a collection of the Capital’s favourite ethical makers will all be back in 2021.
